Phoenix Solar secures module supply contracts in Italy
Phoenix Solar, through its Italian subsidiary Phoenix Solar Srl, has secured several contracts for the supply of solar modules for power plants in Italy.
Under the first contract, Phoenix Solar Srl is delivering solar modules of First Solar for an independent power producer for the construction of two power plants with a peak power of 1.7MW and 1MW respectively.
Under a second contract, the company will supply MiaSole modules to an Italian investor for the construction of a power plant with a peak power of 1MW in the vicinity of Rome.
The Italian subsidiary has also won the contract to develop a rooftop solar power plant with a peak power of 227kW.
The 227kW facility will be built using Trina and MiaSole modules, and is expected to be completed and connected to the grid before the end of 2011.
