Published: 28-Jul-2010
Sulfurcell, a manufacturer of CIS thin-film solar modules, has secured contracts to supply solar panels in excess of 16MW to new customers in India and China.
The company will supply 10MW of its proprietary solar panels for deployment in new construction and building integrated (BIPV) applications in China, while in India, over 6MW of the company’s modules will be used for commercial rooftop projects.
Sulfurcell’s black solar modules, which are especially well suited for building-integrated solar energy systems will be used by a Chinese company in BIPV application in China.
In India, Sulfurcell has concluded the 6MW solar module supply agreement with the Prime Group of New Delhi for mainly commercial rooftop projects. The company expects to provide the modules by 2012.
Dr Nikolaus Meyer, CEO and founder of Sulfurcell, said: "Sulfurcell’s innovative solar energy solutions have been met with great interest in the Asian market. The new supply agreements in China and Asia for over 16MW of our CIS modules mark an important stage for us as we expand into the global market."
