Sunrise Global Solar Energy To Expand Annual Solar Cell Production Capacity To 60 MWp

Sunrise Global Solar Energy, Ltd. (Sunrise Global Solar Energy) will expand its annual production capacity of solar cells to 60 megawatt-peak (MWp) in November 2009, due to an inflow of orders, digitimes reported. The company has begun operation of its first production line with a capacity of 30 MWp in January 2009 and reached fully utilization in April 2009. According to company, the solar cells are made from 6-inch solar-grade wafers and have an energy conversion rate of 17.6%.

Sunrise Global Solar Energy has received orders for solar cell shipments. The shipments will continue until the end of 2009 and the output in 2009 is projected to be around 15MWp.
