Trina Solar Appoints Ben Hill As Director Of Sales And Marketing For Europe

Trina Solar Limited (Trina Solar), a China-based manufacturer of solar photovoltaic (PV) products, has appointed Ben Hill as director of sales and marketing for Europe and Daniel Priem as central European manager, effective April 2009. Formerly, Hill served at BP Solar. He has more than 23 years of experience in the photovoltaic industry. Priem has more than 10 years of experience in solar and other renewable energies. Prior to Trina Solar, Priem spent more than seven years at SunTechnics.

Prior to Trina Solar, Hill spent more than 10 years at BP Solar, serving in both Germany and Spain and in various senior positions including sales and marketing director for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Most recently, he served as a regional director for Europe. Prior to joining BP Solar, he served as a division manager for battery control, DC lighting and solar at Sollatek Ltd. Hill will manage Trina Solar's operations in Europe and will refine and implement the company's regional growth plans.

Priem served as a sales representative for Central Europe at SunTechnics. He also served as manager of SunTechnics (Sydney), sales head for Southeast Asia and Australia, and finally as Conergy Group's commercial manager for Southern Europe. Priem also served as the business development manager for Innovative Windpower AG.
